Store now offers useless purchases -- non-upgradable Plants piñatas?? [ Edited ]

The latest version now somehow occasionally gives a daily discount to lose 3 or even 10 crystals for piñata for the 2 NON-upgradable Gold Leaf and Tyme Warp plants.

Doing so does nothing at all -- both plans do not have levels or level up so this means the Store is basically cheating us of the hard-earned crystals.

Unsure if that is a bug, OR by design?

Is this sale maybe targeted at new players that lack those 2 plants, and when 50 points are reached, for the plant(s) to get added to Plant roster?

Please could somebody clarify this?

If getting the plants on 50 points is not what happens, then such cheating offers should be removed from Daily Store picks.

Only piñatas for plants that can be leveled up should be offered.

It is a bug. 

To me it is more of an oversight than by design.

Originally, I think these plants do have an ability to reduce their refresh time as the level goes up but for some reason these were excluded when the plant leveling system was released.

I would not advise to waste your gems/coins on this unless you have plenty to spare and want to try it out for fun.

Hope it gets fixed soon, or at least logged as a known issue.

Obviously, my crystals are scarce so not a viable option to purchase any of these offers.

I did purchase 1 or 2 times to see what will happen.
