Plants vs Zombies 2 (ver 6.6.1) (2018) Crashing upon opening app [ Edited ]

Hiya~

I've been really let down, because i haven't been able to play for a while now. So this is what happened...

About a month ago, I was still using the Christmas update of the game, and decided to update it, and upon opening, it briefly shows the download screen (the gray background, and a downloading bar) then proceeds to open the game with the logo and the loading icon, then it would just crash... I tried re-installing, clearing cache and data, restart my phone, but no use. I tried the fixes of all the other forum posts that are on older versions of the game and with no luck still crashes upon startup. I need help with this.

Thanks for all the info! I wanted to know if you are getting an error message when the game crashes?
