I have spent a few bucks on PVZ 2 and I am hoping it wasn't a waste. PVZ 3 needs to let us transfer our purchases from 2 or there will be some ticked off players including me.

I doubt it will as the purpose of introducing a new game is to make more $$$ from players.
But trying not to hurt loyal customers feeling, I guess they will say it cannot be done as they are not compatible.
So if you do want getting an advantage in the new game, then get your credit card ready....
I won't spoil the plot line for y'all but PvZ3 is pretty darn cool to play.
There will be ads and micro-transactions for certain !!
Arena is a work in progress but the battles are challenging, entertaining, and at times exhilirating and/or stressful nailbiters !!

I have spent a lot of time and a bit of money on PVZ2 and I am hoping it won't be abandoned since we have 3 on the horizon.

This is a valid question! We'll do our best to track down information on this.

In regards to the question in this post...PvZ 2 and PvZ 3 are separate games and apps. We are, however, committed to continuing to develop new content, features and improvements to Plants vs. Zombies 2 now and into the future!
