I don't think it is your digging skill Pokra needs to attack a couple of times before she launches her piercing projectile. My Laserbean is only level 5 so it takes some time to destroy the tombstones and usually both columns of Pokra launch their projectile. If you have a higher level LB this might not happen. 

I would try to opt for just one column of Pokra if you have a high level LB and see if that is better.
