I don't understand gameplay [ Edited ]

Hi. I have questions about gameplay. So, theres many flowers, but some of them are very expensive ingame, and waves are short. So i can't really use them because before i will buy them its end of the wave. Are there Any longer waves in late game, or im doing something wrong?

You might need to work with the cheaper plants for now. As you play some more, you will get seed packets that can level up your plants and can make them cheaper.

And yes, later levels have longer waves.
