How to check the effect of the Power-mint in the Almanac

Once you open the almanac, go to the plant's screen. You may have to scroll down to see the Power-mint's name. There is a checkbox beside it. Just tap and it will highlight the boosted attribute(s). See here (Bowling Bulb screen):
