@chocckola Glad to hear that!! Standard smile I've tried that though, I'm afraid to do it again because all but 1 package seems to be working right now and I don't wanna break the good ones, haha.

@yahel_1 @crinrict By the way all, my vrcedist_x64 file is NOT in my vc2013 folder right now. It's in my downloads. Just a heads up. I feel like it should be, should I put it there?

Hero

You can run it from any folder. It doesn't have to be in Origin.

@crinrict @yahel_1 I put the vcredist_x64 in my vc2013 folder, repaired it, restarted, and tried to install, and I got "Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. {1}". I took it out, tried to install and I got "Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (false)". Neither seems to work Frown

@crinrict Do any of my critical events look like they could cause the problem? Thanks again for all your help and time.

@sarahthec

Clear Origin cache and for this you get a perfectly detailed post from @EA_Nils >>http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/my-origin-will-not-update-my-sims-4/m-p/4721983#M163410

Restart your machine .

And i think you can try a Clean Boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

NOTE If the steps adove don't work i ran out of ideas, the only solution I can think is to recovery OR reinstall your OS.

We're welcome @sarahthec

Maybe you can try to Reset your PC and not to reinstall your OS.

Rather than relying on system image backups, most people should just use the “Reset this PC” feature to restore your computer to its default operating system state. This also replaces the need to ever reinstall Windows  — just tell Windows to reset your PC and it’ll go back to its factory default settings.

Resetting lets you choose whether to keep your files or remove them, and then reinstalls Windows. To get started, go toSettings > Update & security > Reset this PC > Get started and choose an option.

And i wait a feedback from you.

All my best

@yahel_1 I will try that soon, thank you. As long as it keeps my programs and files. It does, right? Also, for you and @crinrict, I just discovered something with my vcredist_x64. I troubleshooted compatibility with it and found that it was an "incompatible program". I have attached the images of the report.
