Sims 4 won't open for me

Hi, I can't seem to open the sims 4. I have opened it before and played it previously. I've tried troubleshooting, I've tried to open it in every location it's in on my computer. Since I have several families and homes built I really don't want to uninstall it. Please advise?

Same. I have it on my taskbar. I use Windows 8.1. it says it's loading and a few seconds later nothing happens. But Origin won't open too! And also one other app on my laptop. The rest works. Maybe its just my laptop. But I just hope I can still play.
