Sims 4 PS4 Pre order overwrote PC download

Hi. I bought The Sims 4 as on Origin download when it first came out but hadn't played it much this year. I recently decided to get back into it so the other week I pre ordered it on PS4 and then the other day decided to buy a new physical copy of an expansion pack for PC. When I went to install the new expansion, it told me I had to update The Sims 4 first. I went into Origin to do that but the image for The Sims 4 was greyed out and it had a "Pre order failed" bar over it. When I click the game, it only has the Settings and Favourites options available. A link below those says Learn More and that takes me to my Origin Order History. There, it says that The Sims 4 order is currently being processed - my PS4 pre order has overwritten my PC version so now it's not accessible. I've been through the EA chat help 4 times now and while they have all been very nice and helpful, none of their solutions have worked. I have, as per the instructions from EA, manually deleted and reinstalled Origin and all of its cache files, and I've deleted all the install files through Origin and then used msconfig and restarted the computer. They also said they were going to cancel the PS4 pre order on their end to try and fix the issue but I don't know if that's happened yet. It seems that no matter what I do on my end I can't change the problem. I don't think this is an issue on my computer or with my Origin install, I think it's a problem on the EA/Origin end. So I need EA to fix it on their end for me please! I don't care if they have to completely delete Sims 4 from my account and then have it given back to me or any other solution, as long as I don't have to buy a new copy - I already paid for it when it first came out and now I just want to access my game again please
