So I went back to the Sims 4 after a lengthy break and started up an old save, I played for about an hour until I started to lag. Not FPS lag, but what seemed to be input lag. The game clock the sims and everything else was still going but I couldn't click my mouse, press a key or anything of that matter. I ended up having to close the game in Task Manager because I couldn't through the game. After that, I went and repaired the game files through Origin and it didn't fix. I reinstalled twice, once in the same drive and once on a different drive. Both times did not fix. I checked forums for similar problems and I couldn't see any similarities. I Deleted my saves, both in-game and in the program files and nothing changed. I don't have any mods nor have I ever downloaded mods for Sims 4.
This is the first time it has ever happened to me and it pretty much does not allow me to play at all.
The times the lag happens in Create-A-Sim, Household Select, Travel Select, in my lot or in another sims, in any public lot or in the main menu. It's completely random. It may happen for a few seconds or it might take a few hours.
