Shadow buttons when trying to play Sims4?

I have buttons shadowed when I go in to play Sims 4 They are the Save, Save as, Achievements, and Manage Worlds. The farthest I can go is just making new sims but cannot place them in any worlds or save them. Please help. Thank you.

Does the big ok button in the lower right corner in CAS not work either ?
