★★★ Newbie

This has just happened to me as well! Everything else runs fine, no issues with other games etc. when I go to save on sims my fans sound like they’ll take flight? This is the only place/time this happens and has never occurred before the latest sims update? I have a Lenovo that’s running bigger games with no issue

@BxbblegumBaby  I've split your post into its own thread since the other thread was a few years old.  Feel free to change the thread title (by clicking the three dots in the upper-right corner of your post, then choosing Edit) if you want.

Since the original problem had to do with overheating, that's where to start here too.  Please download hwinfo (it's free) from here:

https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

You don't need to install anything; just choose the Portable version, unzip it, and launch it from Downloads or wherever you like.  If you do want the full installer, be sure to click the button for hwinfo itself, not for lansweeper.

Restart your computer, open hwinfo, choose Sensors Only, and play Sims 4 for at least 20 minutes, or 10 if you're really uncomfortable with the noise.  After you close the game, check the maximum CPU core temperatures and the GPU temperatures, however many readings there are (it differs from one card to another), and let me know what you find.

I don't work for EA. I'm just trying to help fellow players with their games.
