My Sims 4 Game is acting up because of Sims 4 Dine out

Does anyone have any idea why this may or may not be happening? I'm going to do some drastic changes, such as remove mods, to see if that is the reason.. But I'd like a tad bit of help...Just incase that isn't the issue. 

 

What is happening is when I get to the resturant I just bought, the lil logans diner or something, transfer money, bla bla. Do up the clothes for uniform, but as soon as i go to edit menu, the screen darkens like its bringing up a menu, then...it just doesn't. Nothing happens. I hit esc, tried clicking else where, tabbed out and checked task manager (that said it was running fine). In the end i had to force end task ;|
