Create a sim MAJOR issues. Keeps freezing the game/won't save images. [ Edited ]

Hello!  I'm super frustrated right now!

Firstly, I have more than the recommended stuff to run the game.

I can create a sim just fine, right up until it's time to save it, instead of playing it.  (using the save household option instead of play) If I try to save the household, the screen popups up but won't load any images.  If I try to do anything at that point (click save, or try to view the second empty image spot, or even try to close the window) the game stops responding.  The weird thing is the sim keeps moving around in the background, and music keeps playing just like nothing is wrong!  At that point I have to ctrl+alt+delete to get out of the game.  

I'm trying to save these households to upload them, but since it won't save any images the files are incomplete!

Not to mention that after 45 mins to an hour of custom creation (making celebrities) everything gets lost!!!!

I've done the "repair game" thing in origin 3 times.  I do have custom content but when this was a fresh install it did it immediately.

I do have the latest update.

ALSO!  This happened on my OLD pc as well, and is still happening on this brand new pc!!!!!!!!!

Do you have any CC or mods? Try removing them.

I do, but as I stated above, when I installed it on my new computer here, it did the same thing before I had any CC...

Did you move any files over from your old computer from the start ? Like save games ?

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

That's a good question.  I did copy the same saved files over BUT it was after I tried to create from the fresh install.  (  So I installed it on this new machine, ran it, tried to create a family and save them to gallery and it was frozen just the same as before. So then I transferred all my saved files over.  Still did the same thing.

I have the same problem, except I haven't transferred any files or anything. I'm on a mac and haven't changed around computers at all. I keep thinking it might be my cc, but in seeing this it just doesn't add up.

If you're on a mac, it's best to make your own thread so a mac helper can help you further

I've just stopped playing, it's so frustrating to spend this much money on a game and it's practically unusable.  All I want to do is play the game like I'm supposed to be able to!! How come no one can help me with this?!

I am having the same issue. I got very far leveling my skills and stuff today and it freezes every time I try to open my inventory. I just bought this game a week ago. I am getting annoyed.
