So no matter what I do, when I upload my photos the skin tone is extremely white. Before you ask, yes I have used the adjustments for the skin tone and still, no matter what I do it won't have the correct skin tone. I know I white, but dang I'm not that white.

Have you tried taking a picture of yourself in front of a different colored background? A completely white background is ideal but this could also be related to the lighting. Try taking the picture with a flash on and off, or try dimming the lights slightly in the room.
