the sims wont start

every time i try to play my sims disk on pc and pick 800x600 or 1024x768 it closes

@idk_a_name16 , can you please provide us with more information? Such as which version of the Sims are you playing (The Sims, Sims 2, Sims Medieval, etc.)? What version of Windows are you playing on (Windows XP, 7, 8, 10)?
