I know this is an old post, but I recently bought the game on Origin. I did try the repair method, but it still shows the error. What else can I do to fix this problem?

@Shortyrobertson and @Pinkiepie0155 , here is the thread to get Sims Medieval working again. You need to manually patch the game.

yeah, ended up uninstalling and reinstalling origin. clicked the game, a notice for an update popped up, downloaded it, and now the game works like a charm. I've already played six hours and I bought it yesterday...G-d help me.

@Kayla_7892 , Sims Medieval is still the 32 bit version of the game and will not run on Mac OS Catalina or higher. If you bought the game and are running any OS other than Mojave or lower, Customer Service should give you a refund as the game will not run at all.
Unlike Sims 3, EA has not announced plans to remaster Sims Medieval to run 64 bit.
