Hello all,

I'm playing Sims 2 on Origin and it randomly crashes. My crash logs maybe show something related to an audio issue? Is anyone able to assist in figuring out what may be causing this? These random crashes to desktop have happened from the very first session within the first hour of play. I have 6 mods now however, those are knew as in a few days after installation and the rate and type of crashes have not varied.

hi, in my experience, regularly re-installing the simsvip sims 2 patch and extracting it to your downloads manages to fix crash and lag issues, ESPECIALLY for newer machines. I dont know if you use mods, but certain pre-made households are unable to be opened if you use mods. hope that helped?

Hi! So I don’t have any mods from the SimsVIP website like cd/dvd patches. Is that what you’re referring to? I have about 6 mods like an auto save, a graphics overhaul, and some hair and casino furniture. It was also crashing the same way day 1 just vanilla on the Origin game client (PC). Thanks!!

Disable your Logitech G930 headset in the Windows control panel > set a different sound device as main device in Windows > Test.
