Why is there no consequence for a sim that has a baby by someone other than spou

★ Novice

Simply put…  Why is there no consequence for a sim that has a baby by someone other than spouse?

If that same sim gets caught cheating, there are major consequences especially if they are married. Yet if my married sim has a baby by someone other than her husband… nothing happens. 🤔 That just doesn’t make sense to me.

If they make the wrong choice at work, they could potentially lose their job. If they are mean to another sim, they can end up being hated.  If my sim over eats and doesn’t work out, they gain weight. If they have a washing machine and a full hamper, piles of clothes begin appearing all over the house. So the game does operate with some type of cause and effect… except when it comes to making babies 🤔 hmmm

And while I’m on the topic, how is that my male sim can go from town to town getting female sims knock up all over the place yet he assumes no financial or physical responsibility. Better yet all of his children know of each other and feel no connection to one another. 🤔 Why is this a thing?

I’d love to hear from someone regarding the questions.

 Thanks, Tisha

Hi @tishad81,

Some valid feedback in there, thank you for taking the time to share it with us.

I'll see that it gets to the Sims team for evaluation. Standard smile

I also think that emotions should change when you’re near the person who “had a baby on you”. That the sim will always view them as the person who cheated until they accept the option to “forgive”; but you can also choose an option to never forgive. Also; when it comes to co-parenting we should be given the option to either have full custody of the child, or choose to keep the child for a season and same with the other significant. That would be great.
