The Sims 1 on Windows 10

So I recently got Windows 10, and I found out before I updated that The Sims 1 DOES indeed run on Windows 10. I installed it, went through all of that, but it would not play. I tried compatibility mode, running it as an administrator, and anything else I can think of. Am I missing something?

It will bring up the launcher, but not launch the game.

Any game that uses safedisc or securom will not work on Windows 10 as Microsoft disabled the driver. That includes The Sims 1.

Does that apply to Windows 7?

No. Should work fine on Win 7

This is quite sad that it does not play on Windows 10. I was forced into getting windows 10, so that makes it even sadder. The only thing i can hope for is that someone makes a mod that makes it work on windows 10 sometime.
