[TIP] Bypassing the Launcher [ Edited ]

Problem: 

• I get the message: "The Sims 2 Launcher has stopped responding." 

Solution: 

• Press play before anything ese loads
• Disconnect your internet connection and try launching

You can also try bypassing the launcher. To do this, please follow the steps below: 

Bypassing the launcher:

• Go to the drive you have installed the game on - the custom one is your C drive
• Locate the Programs folder (might also be Programs(x68))
• Open EA Games/Origin Games (if you have downloaded)
• Sims 2 (most recent expansion)
• Game
• Bin
• Double click on the Sims2EP9.exe. (or whatever number is your most recent)
• The game should launch accordingly

If none of the above suggestions have worked - please post a detailed post with everything that you have tried and done, stating exactly what happens. This thread will help you make sure that you have posted all the necessary details. 

Note that the launcher is not started anymore by the latest update of the game. If you have the Ultimate Collection on Origin, check for updates
