Sims 2 late for the product code

I appear to be late for getting sims2 before Origin took The Sims 2 off the shelf.  Is it too late for me to get the game anywhere?  Where can I get it?

I just recently ran across an article that mentioned EA gave away the Sims 2, but the code is no longer avalible.

The code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS was only avaliable in July. For the moment, we don't have any information if EA will or not release another time the Ultimate Collection.
