Hi everyone,
I know this is an old game, but I'm having trouble launching the Sims 2. When I installed it a while ago, it worked perfectly fine, but now that I've reinstalled it, it won't work at all. The Sims 2 Documents folder only has 2 folders: logs and teleport. When I try to launch the game, it doesn't give me any errors, but it freezes everything that I'm doing on the screen and it only mentions the game in the taskbar.
I've tried running the game in compatibility mode, the 4GB patch, reinstalling the game, fixing the game, etc...to no avail. Does anyone have any tips to help get my game running? I'm feeling really nostalgic and want to get the game working. Thanks for any advice!

@xlime4 , try moving your Sims 2 folder (found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2) to your Desktop. Do not Copy and paste, do not create a short cut. Actually move it to your Desktop. Next start up your game and a new Sims 2 folder should regenerate with all the necessary files.
Please keep me updated.
