Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, Wont complete installation.

★★★ Newbie

my game will not finish installing. Nothings been working for me, as i have no idea what to do and this is my last option.

A while ago i got the Sims 2 Ultimate collection and had planned on revisiting the game. So after it supposedly finished downloading, i for some reason still had to install? so once i clicked that, i instantly got an error message saying, "FIle is corrupt, please repair install" i've been through customer service with lists and steps, but none of them have worked.

I'm pretty lost and confused right now, considering that it's also taking up disk space despite not showing up on my uninstall list and ETC. So i cant retry the installation, and i cant remove it either.

@lailaPayla123 Are you installing the game on your main driver or a secondary one?

This could be ab issue with your hard drive, so I would suggest running Chkdsk:

Run Chkdsk via Windows GUI (Windows 7 & 8)

Select ‘Computer’ from the Windows Start Menu
Right-click on the drive you are installing to and select ‘Properties’
Select the ‘Tools’ tab
Under ‘Error Checking’ select ‘Check now…’
Run Chkdsk via Windows GUI (Windows 10)

Select ‘This PC' from the File Explorer
Right-click on the drive you are installing to and select ‘Properties’
Select the ‘Tools’ tab
Under ‘Error Checking’ select ‘Check’
If errors are detected, you will be prompted if you wish to repair.

Let us know how you get on!
