Sims 2 Black Roads? [ Edited ]

The roads are black when I enter a neighbourhood and I have tried  countless methods to fix this but the roads in every neighbourhood are still black. If anyone can help me I will greatly appreciate it. I just hope I won't have to reinstall my game.

Which version of The Sims 2 are you playing, The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection installed through Origin?

I'd recommend playing around with the graphic settings in the game, maybe lowering them a bit helps. Keep in mind the game was developed long ago and new graphics cards might not be compatible.

Give that a try and let's see if it helps

I'm not playing the game through origin but I am starting to get ticked off with it   I will give it a shot and tell you how it went.

Edit: I lowed the graphics in the game and the glitch still occours but not as much as it used to.
