I'm having this issue and tried to apply the solution posted but when I type in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE I get a message that says it can't be found. I have Windows 8, if that helps. I don't know what to do, I know nothing about computers and any help will be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't be "typing" it in. You might be typing it in the Search or Run? Windows 8 Window+R opens up Run, what you need to do is type in the Search (the thing that pops out when you scroll to the right in case you didn't know) "regedit". It should ask if your sure you want to open it, say yes, then scroll down to look for either EA GAMES or Wow6432Node then EA GAMES. The rest is explained up there ^^^^ Hope I helped!

When I do all these steps, I don't see any listings other than two that say:

DEFAULT: REG_SZ

DEFAULT: REG_SZ

Nothing else. So, I don't know what to do. I even changed my system Locale to english.  

Please help.

also, I see no EA GAMES but I found Wow6432Node and I clicked it and it says: Default: reg_sz

the folders under it that pop out, when I click them, all say the same thing too.

OMG! It works. I got all of my neighbothoods back. All six of them. Thank you soooooo much. I am so happy, I'm on top of the world. I tried everything and nothing worked until I came here. Thank you.
