SIMS 2 expansionpacks wont download :((

Hii. Okej so I dug out an old pc or old and old a pc with windows 7 anyways, so I can play my old sims2 games. The bg download without any major hiccups but the expansionpacks are a NIGHTMARE. They download and everything looks fine until the pop up says I need to put in cd 4 from bg to check if everything downloaded correctly, I do and BAM like a pat on the head with a brick house it stops working. A new pop up says it didn’t install the right way and it uninstalls again. I would really appreciate if someone knew what to do before I lose my cool and throw them out. Threw a window 
I’ve tested multiple but it’s the same with all of them. Again, help would be VERY appreciated… XX me and my anger issues
@zarakre , you you have the game on disk correct? And the computer either has a disk drive or you have an external disk drive right? What exactly are the messages you are getting saying?
