My launcher will not work for sims 2

I have tried everything, and my launcher does not work. Its not the computer becuase its worked on here before. I have the updated internet explorer for it, i dont know what else to do. Ive tried running it through the administer and restarting it, I have tried just about everything the internest has suggested for me and it stil doesnt work. I have paid to play these games but I can never play because origin has always gave me problems.....
