(I)llegally download The Sims1? [ Edited ]

Is it illegal to download The Sims 1 from websites since EA no longer makes it available? I don't want to pirate the game, but is it piracy at all? I really wanted to know.
(I'm from Brazil, so my english is not so good).

Yes, it is

I suggest you check out second-hand stores or eBay. Search for "The Sims Original", "The Sims 1", "The Sims One" etc, and you'll surely find some copy that also can be shipped to Brazil!

They're like 4-15$,  and up to like 50-100$ if you want all expansions
