I can't play my old Hoods in Ultimate Collection game.

Hello! I just loaded the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, and I was told I could play my Hoods and the Sims I played in my old Sims 2, but after installation of the Ultimate Collection, I am unable to play my prior Hoods or my peeps. Why is that? Is there another place I need to load my old hoods/sims too?
