Build Mode Broken

Hey, my build mode's broken and not letting me place any objects.

It lets me draw walls and pools, change flooring and swatches, and place gallery downloads, but nothing happens when i try to click and/or drag an object (like a plant, fridge, etc.) onto the lot. 

I've repaired my game and taken out all CC and mods, but the problem is still there.

Please help,

@spiritanimal11 here’s the fastest way to tell if one of your mods or CC may be causing some problems. Locate your Sims2 folder and move the entire folder to your desktop. Don’t copy and paste a link, actually move the folder. Next start up the game as normal. Play with building to see if it works. Let me know what happens
