They haven't answered me, but maybe they'll answer some of you...

I put in a report a week ago.  I had to choose “other” for the game as it isn’t in their list.  No response.  Everyone just puts their head in the sand.

I have the same problem on a fresh Windows 10 build, all chipset and graphics card drivers installed. Running a 5800X CPU with an RX6800 GPU, 64 GB RAM, non-VR. Cannot launch the game from either Steam or from Radeon software. Bought the game during the Steam winter sale and now that I have my new build up that has the horsepower to run modern games I can't launch it.

I had the same issue. There seems to be a problem with SteamVR.

When I started SteamVR before i launched the game, the game would not go further than the splash screen.

But if i rebooted and disconnect the headset (power) i could at least start the game.

If I then started up the VR headset afterwards and tried to switch to VR ingame (after another restart of the game) Steam VR then gave me an error message.

So after some further trying i found a solution that helped me.

What i did: (Can't tell what exactly solved it)

-reinstalled SteamVR in Steam

-disconnected the headset completely

-then rebooted

-started the game without any VR connected to pc

-did the story until i reached the options menu (no VR yet)

-switched to window mode instead of fullscreen

-connected the VR Headset

-restarted the game

-alt + Tab to Steam and started SteamVR from there

-finally switched ingame (options menu) to VR

Is there a fix yet?
I am really upset because I have played all the origin flight games of Starwars. I bought it on epic and it didn't work, i then decided to get it on origin to give it a try a few months later and the same thing is happening.

SUPPORT IS TRASH, kept disconnecting and telling me to do everything I have already done.

I just want to be able to play this game and it shouldn't be this hard in this day and age to get a game and be able to play it and if not then a fix be released this is rediculous.

Neither can I, I've spent a good 2 hours or even more trying to get the game to launch.

Month later, this is still happening.

I've Xbox Game Pass Ultimate -> I've EA Play content available.

I installed EA Desktop and tried launching the game with that. The game shows splash screen for anti-cheat, loads for about ~20 seconds and then closes itself. No errors, nothing.

Launch again and the same occurs.

I've heard that the issue MIGHT be solved by installing the game to OS drive, going to try that.

My non-OS drive where I have my games has ENGLISH path (someone mentioned non-english don't seem to work).

Same issue in EA Desktop app. The startup EasyAntiCheat window finishes then nothing more happens. Tried complete uninstall, redownload and various tips found online but nothing helps. Unable to try installing to OS drive to try that tip as OS drive does not have the 40GB of space required. Reinstalling windows hoping that fixes it is not something I will do for a game. Been a while since I played an EA game and am yet again reminded why I try to avoid them.

EAC Log:

[Info] [LauncherProgress] 100%.

[Info] [LauncherFinished] EACAsyncResult: 0 Message: 'Easy Anti-Cheat successfully loaded in-game'.

[Info] Unloading the EasyAntiCheat library.

[Info] Destroying windows.

[Info] Exit.

I managed to get the game launching.

Here are all the steps that MIGHT have something to do with the case:

1) I installed the game on OS drive (C: in my case)
2) I turned my second display OFF when launching the game
3) I went to the install folder and found out the EasyAnticheat folder there. From the EasyAnticheat -options (by launching the .exe) I removed all the games and then did REPAIR and REINSTALL for the "Current Game".

Now the game launches.
