Hi, i had the same problem.

I also tried all the other solutions but what finally got it to work for me was to make sure that my steam account was connected to Origin (login to origin website as Steam user).

Then i followed the directions on this thread: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-3/Clean-boot/td-p/526214

Got the same problem.... One moment it worked perfectly, other moment poof. Just won't launch anymore. Tried the same things including the options shown in this topic. Nothing works unfortunaly.

Shame tho, The time I got to play was awesome.

Quick update, the new update today did not fix this issue for me.

I really hope they either patch or make troubleshooting available before the refund window closes, don't want to give up the silly little pre-order bonuses

Same here, tried moving the game to my native steam folder ( it might had something to do with anti cheat not beeing able to find certain files ) but that doesnt work either. here's the link of the thread: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Easy-Anti-Cheat-Error-Code-26/m-p/9538006, then the second comment. EA please fix your game, or at least give us an update

@Slacklinger Mine is working now! Just launching from the desktop icon, I don't know what's changed between now and before. I haven't even restarted my PC

Please try to recall anything you did that may have contributed, e.g.:

- closing/uninstalling/reinstalling/updating programs
- fiddling with / updating antivirus
- windows / nvidia updates

I allowed LAN ICMP echo in my firewall settings, not too sure why it was disabled in the first place tho.

I switched from 'Public Network' to 'Private Network' in the windows network settings.

I don't have antivirus apart from windows defender which I haven't touched recently.

Not too sure if this is related in anyway at all but I have fall guys on my PC which also uses easy anti cheat and fall guys had a major update recently.
