I have it on Steam and was able to play it last night at launch. now it crashes out at launch and says: File not found.....{attached file}.....specifically it is the easyanticheat_x86.dll file that isn't found in the folder that I see that is in fact inside.

I have reinstalled twice, uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired EAC (running as admin), cleared caches, cold reboot, ran sfc /scannow, uninstalled anything I've added since yesterday, updated everything, have no drivers in need of updating,  DxDiag attached.

@Slacklinger This is the exact behavior!

I was unable to run it at all (even before the update), no error message.
I even refunded on steam and bought on epic, still same problem.

I'll give the Motive guys a chance to reply on Monday, then i'll contact support on Tuesday.

EAC support site said they reply in 3-14 days (seriously?!), it's been only 1 day since i opened the ticket...

@neo_razgriz I'm seeing the same problem. EAC window pops up, the bar fills, then it closes. Then another(?) identical EAC window opens, the bar fills up, and then that closes and the Origin window pops back up.

Same here...  Two loads of EAC and then nothing.  Quality launch, EA.  Loads of fun.

Hi @neo_razgriz ,

I had the exact same issue and the EAC crashed and closed every time without any error code or anything else. I found a little workaround which worked for me and will hopefully work for you as well:

1. Go to your game folder of Star Wars: Squadrons
2. Right clique on "starwarssquadrons_launcher.exe"
3. Clique on "Compatibility"
4. Set a hook at "Start at 640x480" and apply the change
5. Start the Game

You can change it back to normal again, if your game starts normally. Your game will start as aspected always again if you onced did it. Sorry for my bad english, but I hope ypu will find and understand everything and that the workaround will fix it for you as well.

@BoriacLP Thanks for the tip, but it didn't work for me.
Tried also changing the screen resolution (my native res is 2k), but it didn't help, same problem.

Same problem here. Never got to play and never saw an error code. The blue bar just fills and then nothing.

Hi All,

No update from EAC support yet.

I tried checking the EAC logs for Star Wars: Squadrons, but unfortunately, they are encrypted, and only EAC can decrypt them.
The plaintext logs show no problem, however.

Opted for a refund on steam. Will check again in a few weeks. What a dissapointment. I was really looking forward to this game.

Same problem EAC splash screen loads twice then focus shifts back to origin window and nothing. I installed on 3 different systems system 1 worked on launch day and does not today (10-5) System 2 has worked since day one, system 3 did not work on 10-2 or 10-3 but worked on 10-4 after patch have not tried it today. Very annoying...going to go through to process of making sur all windows updates are in and vid drivers are up to date and see if it helps on system 1 (currently the only one I have access to)

--UPDATE--

updated Nvidia drivers (Sept 28th release) GTX 1060

Updated .NET framework (windows update)

1st retry from desktop icon same results as before

2nd retry (because i'm stubborn) from origin launcher and it launched
