I am very sorry to read that.
For me it's not working anymore, again, for 4 days.
I am waiting for a patch, but I fear it is for after the Christmas break.

My solution was video driver. 

I noticed the game executable was running in the background but the game wasn't running.  It ran the first time (yay Xmas!) but then updated driver - no joy afterwards!

I have an APU (Ryzen 2400G) - updated the video driver after playing for a bit and then went to the nasty easy anti cheat and then dump to nothing.  It'd try stepping your drivers back in time.

Known working driver: Radeon 19.2.3

You'll get an update error, skip it and go to game.

I have the same problem I think. It launches, the blue bar from the easy anti-cheat launcher goes full then it just gives me an error message and I have no other options but to close squadrons.

I think I may have found the problem. It seems like whenever I launch other origin games it says cloud syncing and with squadrons it doesn't say that. It might be a problem with the cloud sync not working and that is the error.

Here's what finally worked for me.

Quit Origin 

Delete all files in C:\ProgramData\Origin

Reinstall Origin and login

I can finally launch Squadrons again.

@das_spetsnaz I have the same problem.

Updated drivers. Disabled virus, and reenabled with rules. Added Firewall rules for the game and antivirus. Moved the game from my D to my C drive.

I have Star Wars Battkefront II installed in Origin/Epic Games launched and that runs fine.

I had somewhat of a breakthrough yesterday. I got Squadrons to run when I switched off my WiFi and went offline.

Not a good experience EA/Epic/Origin. I’ve played less than an hour so far.
