The solution for disc holders from Reddit:

100% worked for me

"If you have the disc, you can fix this in a roundabout way:

1) Go Offline 2) Go the Meditation spot outside the Albino's spawn to save, then close the game 3) Delete the game's app, and then redownload it (it should preserve your save) 4) After you do this, open the game and continue 5) Enter the cave and fight the big spider!

I tried this on my PS4 and it worked! Apparently version 1.00 doesn't have this glitch, which is why you need to redownload it while offline. Trophy popped straight away

Thank you respawn. Only need that trophy for platinum on ps4.

I entered the spidercave and was attacked by boss and 2 mini spiders and died instantly. It was registered in tactical guilde.

hopefully i can get my platinum soon.

and thank you for a completely awesome experience (game), everything from the story, sound, acting was flawless. A few graphical bugs and bd-1 not jumping in and opening boxes underwater even though “he does” is strange.

If you don’t feel like waiting for a patch, deleting and re-installing the game and turning your Internet off definitely works to get the Albino Wyyyschokk to show up. The only issue is...the game is pretty unstable without any patches. The disc was making a lot of noise in my PS4 like it was having problems loading. I fell through the floors in a couple areas. However, that’s to be expected when you’re playing this version of the game.

I have this issue on Xbox one. After the first encounter when I died it never reappeared but I have the info in my tactical data bank. I know I never defeated it and I don't have the legendary beasts achievement and the others are dead.

This is listed as a PlayStation bug, but the same bug exists on the Xbox as well.

@admiralackjay im having the same problem on Ps4! im working on the Platinum and this to happen its annoying! i hope it gets patched soon cuz i really liked the game!

@JT0392 Considering that more people bought digital than physical copies of JFO, good to clarify: 100% works if you have a physical disk.
