Plants vs Zombies 2 bug

Plants vs Zombies 2 is currently offering a “birthday bundle” which includes the jack-o-lantern and sweet potato. Sadly, if you already own the jack-o-lantern, you can’t purchase the bundle or the sweet potato by itself. This is a major bug and not very smart on the business side because the chance to spend money isn’t there. 

Any suggestions on son how to get the sweet potato by itself? Or how to delete the jack-o-lantern so I can purchase the bundle?
