Plants vs Zombies GOTY throws "Failed Reading File" error on startup

I realized this error happens because some files are corrupted in directory "C:\ProgramData\PopCap Games\PlantsVsZombies\userdata". Unfortunately they have been synchronized to origin and game repair doesn't work. Question is: does origin keep old versions of userdata (i mean file versioning such as dropbox, github etc)? Downloading and old version could solve the problem. Otherwise i'll just delete folder contents and restart the game from zero. Thanks.
