My NFS Prostreet is not compatible with windows ten apparently? So how do I make it compatible? I just downloaded it last night and it keeps showing a box saying "This application is not compatible with the installed operating system. Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better." What do I do?

Try if you can set the compatibility mode for the .exe to Windows XP/Vista/7.

Doesn't work. I tried both running the game's .exe as well as installing the game in Windows Vista and Windows XP compatability, but it keeps giving me the error for an unsupported OS.

Its simple. All you have to do is disable PunkBuster completely
Go into Search and type "Services" and open it
Then scroll down until you find "PnkBstrB" and "PunkBuster" services.
For each of them you right click on them, click disable, right click again and click properties
Then set the setting that says "Automatic" to "Disabled" on each one then restart your computer
Then go into NFS Prostreet directory and delete the PB folder
Then the game should run just fine

If this is the CD / DVD version of ProStreet, the issue is that Windows 10 removed the driver (secdrv.sys) used by Securom and Safedisk DRM (digital rights managment), and ProStreet uses Securom. Windows Vista, 7, and 8 disabled, but did not remove, secdrv.sys, so it still can be enabled. Windows 10 doesn't allow the driver, considering it to be a security risk. Apparently there was a download version of ProStreet at Origin, but it was removed. I don't know if it could run on Windows 10.
Some people like myself, have multiple versions of Windows installed on the same system (multi-boot), to get around issues like this. For Windows 7 or later versions that got a free upgrade to Windows 10, you may be able to revert to the old operating system (be sure to back up all of your data first), but if you wanted both Win 7/8 and 10, you'd have to buy Win 10 instead of doing the free upgrade in order to have both Win 7/8 and Win 10 on the same system. You would need multiple partitions on a hard drive and/or multiple hard drives to setup a multi-boot system.

I was able to get it working by renaming the actual .exe file. If you right click on the shortcut from the desktop and then click open file location it will take you there. You will see a file that is named nfs.exe, you can rename that in all caps to NFSPS.exe and it should work.
I'm on a Lenovo Y70 Touch with Nvidia graphics, etc. Running the latest version of windows 10. My rockcandy xbox controller works great with the game too. I'm playing the origin version.
