Yes it happens when I am logged into my PSN account. It happens alot on the interstate around either hideout, and in the mountains or forest in general. No specific place there. Rarely does it lock up for me at the start or directly at a hideout. I have NEVER had it lock up on me as a cop. Kingfisher bridge is also a notorious spot for loosing all functions of your car with the exception of acceleration. shortly after it locks up I am forcibly logged off PSN. As in I dont do it, my PS3 just does it. However I am still in the game.
It does not return me to the PS menu, or shut down the console, just gives me the notice that I have been logged out of the network. No error code.
Sometimes it does it within minuets, other times after 4 hours or more.
All stats for that session reset to 0. It does not affect my trophies or other stats, as when I relog on in the alldrive menu then find a new session, I have all my cars, SP, and ranking. With the exception of the SP I accumulated during that last session. I have lost around 3 million SP as a racer because of this, not to mention many jump records, air time accumulation, and camra trap records that I broke.
I am also sometimes logged out of PSN within a minuet or two of logging in, before I start ANY game. Not for rivals though. Mostly for Hot Pursuit or Arkham Origins. I am also logged out instantly if I go to start a chat with any of my friends. Even when using a friends PS4 and my account.
And no, I do not use a steering wheel controller because of the locking up disaster when I first started playing in December with my G3 wheel. Its all PS controller for me. Hopefully Sony fixes this soon!
