Some Need For Speed games without cd-keys on sale at ebay [ Edited ]

I'm seeing some Need For Speed games without cd-keys for sale mostly at Ebay, but a few listings at Amazon. Some are listed as "download" versions, while others are in what appears to be EA packaging, but the jewel cases are from a non-EA distributor. For example I've seen Need For Speed Carbon regular and collector's edition sold as download or jewel case (PC-DVD-ROM) versions that don't have cd-keys. Did EA ever release a no cd-key version of Carbon? In one of the images of the back of the jewel case cover, in fine print it reads "distributed by Cosmi under license from Electronic Arts", and there is no cd-key on this version of Carbon.

Such possibility is low. Carbon pretty old thing. But it's still good. I understand your interest.

I updated my question to include the fine print on the of jewel case cover (distributed by Cosmi under license from Electronic Arts).
