Need for Speed, now won't connect to EA servers

Hi, i have played Need for Speed since the moment it came available on PC, i then played it for a couple of days and loved the game, i then decided to leave the game for awhile and play something different, but after i return to try and play the game, i keep getting the error code: 40050000

This really frustrates me as i love playing the Need for Speed games.

Thanks for the reply, i have followed both of the links you have provided and followed them to the full stop, yet the game still does not want to connect to EA servers and still the same error code:40050000

I don't know if you got the game to work or not but after many hair pulling and stressed hours of research and by research i mean google i found out that you can log in on origin and right click the game and click repair game. let the process take its time and after that viola.... it worked for me and i hope it works for you

If you can loginto ea account and not origin, I recently stumbled upon this:  went to ea website, logged in, went to account settings to find out that my email was never verified.  Sent code to email.  Opened it then then origin was activated.  Hope this helps
