Need for Speed Pro Street Continue Button stop working

I decided to play NFS Prostreet on the PC (Win 10), and I was really looking forward to playing. However, I encountered a bug that makes the continue button to stop working whenever I do drifting or drag events. I know that other people had this problem. And I tried many solutions out there, disabling the mouse to using debugger programs, and none of the solutions have worked at all. Plus, I have never installed PunkBuster when I installed the game. Any other solutions to try and get rid of the bug?
