NEED FOR SPEED - PORSCHE 2000 on 64 BIT WINDOWS 10?
Hello, I am running Windows 10, 64 bits on my computer. I tried to install one of my old PC games "Need for Speed - Porsche 2000" but I could not even start the set up process. I tried the compatibility modes available but none of them worked. Is there any way that I can install my game on my computer and use? Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks.

I'm afraid that disc versions of older games like this one won't work on Windows 10. If you would still like to play this game then your best bet is to look for fan site's that released a tweaked version of this game, compatible with newer versions of Windows.
Good luck!

Thank you EA_Tom. I guess I will have to give up on that game. Have a good one. :-)

Hey,
As EA_Tom said you'll need a patch, and you can find it there http://www.nfscars.net/porscheunleashed/file/5424/
I tried it with Windows 8.1 and it worked fine, no doubt it will also work for Windows 10 though I haven't tested it.
Have fun!

Hey Rallymen007, thank you for the information but I could not install that patch to my computer... NORTON did not allow me to do that saying it wasn't safe so it removed it. :-(

It should be possible to run the game from your original disc to be honest. Try installing an older version of Windows (like windows xp for example) in a virtual machine and then running the game inside it. It's not difficult and there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do it.

How do you run a CD disc in a virtual machine?

I suppose you look into the settings of your vm and attach your real drive to it (don't know what virtualization software you're using), then run it like you normally would from inside the vm
