NFS Most Wanted 2012 stuck at animated loading screen

I just downloaded the game from steam and this is the first time I am running it. The game is stuck at the animated loading screen and not moving forward from this point. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

Thanks for reaching out to the community on Answers HQ! If you have not already can we try the following?

• Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
• Verify the game in via your Steam library
• EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
• Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
• Close other running applications on your device
• Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• Repair or Install the VC++ files for your game (Guide here)
• Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
• Restart your device in Clean Boot mode first then try again.
