How do I lock player. Ex to play as center

Which game are you playing and which mode? This was removed from HUT in NHL 19, but in other modes you click down on one of the sticks during the side select screen.

i am just playing against the cpu  not online. its xboxone nhl18

I was in franchise mode .

yes what you said worked I just had to press in on the left toggle.
