mass effect 1 freezes after character creation

This only happens with the EA App apparently as Origin runs the game just fine no freezing or anything I wanted to move solely to the App since it was replacing Origin also I've found that if you take to long creating your character the game locks up and you have to restart your computer to fix the problem. I've tried disabling my AVG adding exceptions running in windowed mode changing the resolution, reinstalling windows, and changing the graphics setting but nothing seems to work any help would be much appreciated .

A influence of EA app is unlikely, the game runs in it own instants.

You say this only happens in CC?

So if you start the game with a default character it runs just fine?

Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled.

Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.

No it happens with default characters as well it goes through the sequence then it freezes after you see the title of the game when the ship is flying. You can still hear the music playing but the video just freezes and the only way to get out of it is to manually restart the computer.

Did you tried the clean boot?
