Can you all confirm you're experiencing this on Madden 21 and which platform do you play on? 

I am also encountering this issue as well (PS5/PS4) versions both not working, I’ve reinstalled multiple times and hard reset my console nothing has seemed to work. Continue getting the “error-unable to retrieve currency balances” every time. Been in contact with support and they claimed nothing was wrong and couldn’t help fix it but it’s obviously a bug in game.

seems like most other modes run smoothly, still receive the error message just by logging into the game and ultimate team runs very slow and kicks you out as soon as you do anything. I had bought 500 madden points lastnight and I get the notification “MuT points unlocked” but don’t see them in my balance

When you go to your purchase history for your account do you see it showing completed, pending, or failed? 

It was purchased 2/22/22 for $4.49 the transaction went through 

Same problem here on Xbox One. Been bored in MUT 22, so I've been revisiting MUT 21 to finish building out a team. No luck the last couple of days though. Constant errors.

Thank you. Just to make sure we've covered the basics here can you all try power cycling the console and re-launch the game?

That helps push transactions through to the EA account. Even though the purchase is for our game, the transaction still goes through the PlayStation and Microsoft account. So there could be a disconnect here and by fully power cycling the console that has been known to fix this. 

Please let me know what happens. 

How to power cycle your Xbox console:

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

1. Plug the console power cable back in.
2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

How to power cycle your PlayStation console

1. Touch the power button on the front of the PS4/5 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice).
2. Turn it back on after 5 minutes. Launch the game.

Already done that multiple times, I’ve cleared my database, hard reset my console and deleted and reinstalled the game. It’s obviously a bug in the game and not our consoles in specific. I was receiving this error before purchasing MUT points. I just bought the points to see if that’s why it was “having a hard time loading my currency balances” I’ve put a lot of time and effort into the team I have today and it’d be nice to just be able to login and play like I have been. I hope there’s a resolution soon because I thought I was the only one but turns out there’s a whole community of us.

Hello, just adding on since I am having the same issue. Madden 21 is working very slow. Made some purchases last night and cannot get the error to go away. I have done a power cycle of my Xbox One and nothing has helped. Still getting the error message popping up every 30 seconds or so.
