Just for clarity, I want to add what some people have mentioned but many have not. Not only does the ranking go away (while ranking points remain), but the MY LEADERBOARD tile in the Head to Head menu disappears as well. Below are screenshots of how my head to head screen looks now (top) and how it looked a few weeks ago when my ranking was still properly intact. You can see that I now only have two tiles to switch between ("Compare Stats" and "Top 100") instead of three.
The fact that this tile is neatly gone and not just broken/displaying improperly makes me wonder if this wasn't a feature EA added, or started adding for players that were kicked out of the rankings for cheating, but now some type of auto-trigger is happening on random disconnects that is mistakenly kicking all of us (those in this thread) out of the ranking system. This is just speculation on my part.
Anyway, this seems like a very substantial issue to me considering hundreds of thousands play this mode, and for many of us it is the only online mode we spend much time in. To be locked out of being ranked ruins the enjoyment for many. This was an issue in Madden 17 as well, so I'm surprised the problem wasn't pinpointed and taken care of months ago. As far as I can tell, there has been no update on EA's progress in fixing this since it was acknowledged that they were looking into a month ago.
