F1 23 League deficencies!

As someone who makes several custom discord leagues every year I was surprised that since moving all league setup to Racenet we can no longer set event times as "On-Demand" and no longer have the ability to add ai in leagues to fill vacant spots. Is there a time-frame for these basic features to return?

There are numerous other issues with this clearly very poorly thought out change but just a few are tier, lack of admins ability to pick car and teams for league driver, and the fact that anyone that want to make any league change has to get up or close the game to do so.

I really don't understand the complete abandonment of the in game league setup system when the alternative offering is in such an infancy. Firstly, why would EA as a game developer WANT users to spend less time in game and have to utilize multiple different platforms to do the simple task of setting up a league. Moreover, why was development time wasted on this when the previous in-game system was shocking one of the most functional features of the game.

To whoever the project lead of this dumpster fire of a change is I have no ill will toward you, but this was without a doubt a demonstrably bad choice and poor implementation, if this was the only way why not have both methods at least.

I'm sure numerous other users have brought up these issue as many of us can now NOT make our community leagues that require AI and on demand races this essentially removes my and many of my friends reason to even have purchased this game.

Hi everyone,

I work on the Racenet side of leagues.

Thanks for the feedback, we are currently looking into adding AI players, ability for owner/admins to edit teams and on-demand leagues.

I'll try and keep you updated as these feature roll in.

If there's anything else you think could improve the league experience Racenet side, please let us know.

Many thanks,

Paul

@Gashaslegacy 100% agree with that. Me and my few f1 playing friends were using the ingame league system b4. Now its removed and noone knows why. But as always, as soon as EA is involved...

I mean, I do like the new interface as it brings new options to analisis of racing and stuff... But why not keep all the options we had before? The on-demand option and the option to choose team/car, and play with AI is certainly needed and a part of a lot of people's enjoyment of the game...

Paul,

I appreciate the response, I'm sure the Racenet team has a lot to deal with at the moment. With that said I do wonder, what exactly does "looking into" mean are these features that already existed in previous games going to be be added back and the team is looking into a time-frame, or does it mean you are looking into the ability to even have these features provided through Racenet the new forced league management system?

I have asked this question before to no response, it's just that to me the "looking into it" answer feels very much like a deflection that doesn't actually provide any salient clarity on the subject.

Really sorry, didn't mean for that to sound vague.

I probably should have said "Working on" rather than "looking in to". I've dropped you a DM with more info.

I agree with you,I played F1 22 and before with friends thru the in-game league and that was so much easier compared to this.

We even manage to convince 1 more friend to join this year, but 2 hours wasted scrambling to try to figure it out how to get the multiplayer league working like F1 22.

Then when the league finally sets and starts, there is no ai. Come on!

This is so disappointing, with the price hike and all, unbelieveable.

Just bring back the in-game multiplayer league - we don't need cross-platform - we all purposedly bought from Steam to avoid this cross-platform issue..

Aswell as bringing back the opportunities to add AI and have races "on demand", adding the abbility to have sprint races in leagues would be a great!
